Recipe preparation process

Peel the potatoes (or scrub them well with the skin on) and cut them into evenly sized fries.

Put the fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes (this removes starch and helps them turn crispy).

Drain and pat them dry. Toss with oil and seasoning.

Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C (about 1 minute) and place the fries in the basket in a single layer.

Air-fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking or tossing halfway through.
